Graduation is FRIDAY. WOOO!!!!!! Can't believe it. 4 years down & then I'm off to Disney. I had not said a damn word about going to anyone, especially my professors, and I got a paper back today that said "Good Luck in Orlando!"...I wonder about the Spanish department & their secrets...
Oh well. I have my last final at 4 this evening & I will be done. Hopefully all the professors get their grades in in time. After the final I am going to more than likely go drink. Why? Because damn it, it's been 4 years and I hardly ever went out. I deserve some kind of reward for this at least. And no, you are NOT allowed to say Disney Intern is a reward.
I am melancholy about leaving. A good friend of mine left today for Birmingham and we didn't get to say bye. I am going to miss her dearly, as well as my whole sorority "family"- my little and so on. Lucky for me, I know that they plan to visit at some point in the next 7 months :D Other than that, it is hard to imagine life not on the Plains starting in August, with stressful rush, new little babies for us all to fawn over & then school, socials, formals, and life starts up again.
My mom & I talked the other day when I went home to say HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY YOUR GIFT IS MY GRADUATING IN 4 YEARS! (she loved it, I could tell) and she told me she couldn't have been more pleased I picked AU for school. Hah, it's like a slogan. AU for SCHOOL! Anywho...she informed me that she is glad I turned UGA down & came out here. They suck anyways (no offense Dawg fans, but really...you teach your students how to BARK during orientation!) :D
But yes, 4 years well spent. 4 years worth of student debt gladly earned. Out of state tuition be damned, I could not have been happier to come here and learn/play with some of the best memories around. I mean who isn't pleased that Tim Tebow will never know what it is like to beat Auburn? I for one am. I'm glad we beat Bama so many years in a row and this year we came so close to beating them again. We had it in those last 2 min. We will get them next year (I hope) at their stupid Bear loving stadium. Among other things of course, AU has been good.
Now to bed I go, to ace the final in the afternoon. To graduate on Friday :D
Life is indeed, becoming good
